A CoE can contribute to increasing a standard’s adoption and spreading of compatible devices and products and developing teaching materials.

Currently, this CoE is running the following activities:

• From standards development to Industry Adoption (IEEE-IES TAB CoS project). This project aims to develop a dissemination strategy, materialized in a set of integrated and well-defined actions, supported by teaching materials: tutorial texts, presentations; application examples; and hands-on laboratories, with the primary objective of establishing the adoption of the standards. Once the work methodology has been defined, it is intended to validate and improve its effectiveness, as long as the industry accepts and adopts the standard. The IEEE 1451 and other concerning standards will be used as a case study.
• Assist in the development of dissemination strategies and promoting the adoption of standards.
• Develop teaching materials for standardized products.
• Preparing GitHub and other resources to access the resources for education, coding, testing, and evaluation for offering information on demand to industrial audiences.
