All TEDS are composed with the general format TEDS.

The General TEDS is defined in the 6.1 General TEDS. Check this IEEE 1451.0-2024.

General TEDS Structure​

Composed by 6.1 General TEDS format:

  • TEDS length: (4 octets)
  • Data block: uses Type/Length/Value (TLV) structure with variable size of (octets array)
  • Checkcsum: (2 octets)

Composed by Table 11 - TEDS ID structure:

  • Type
  • Length
  • Family Member: Table 13 - Family Member and Submember field values
  • Family Submember: Table 13 -Family Member and Submember field values
  • Class: Table 72 - TEDS access codes
  • Version: Table 12 - TEDS version number
  • Tuple length
